Much to my husbands chagrin, I am a fanatic reader. There are many nights I can be found curled up on the couch completely oblivious to my family around me, solely focused on my current fantasy obsession. I am a complete sucker for anything that comes in a series. This is why on this past August 2 I spent my night awaiting the latest vampire novel by Stephenie Meyer in my local Borders with a store full of teenage girls. A lack of seating left me to find a nice cozy spot on the floor. This put me in a prime position to do a little “shoe watching.” I quickly spotted a trend among these early teenage girls, the timeless Converse All Star OX. Blue, grey, red and brown were just a few of the colors worn by the giggly girls awaiting details on their beloved Edward. I understand the popularity of this vulcanized canvas shoe. I have a pair of navy ones myself. I love the low maintenance, easy style and comfort of the OX. They look great with just about anything and they are not as chunky as a running shoe. They tend to run a little narrow and have limited arch support, but overall I still love my Chucks!
